You have just invested in new hardwood flooring for your home and though they add a beautiful elegance to each room there seems to be something missing. The furniture and designing space layout are superb and the hardwood floor finish looks rich and exquisite but there appears to be a barren feel to the room. Many people prefer to have the total bare floor appearance and like this style throughout however some folks will prefer to have area rugs placed strategically to perhaps add a feeling of warmth to the room.

If your hardwood flooring is looking worn and the grain is splitting or darkening with age, quite often it can be rejuvenated to near new with a thorough sanding and refinishing. Warping caused by moisture, broken pipes or flooding can sometimes be sanded out or even spot planed if it is contained in a small area. Major lifting and warping may require a more complete re installation using new materials.
